Ajo Motorsport's Derbi riders Frenchman Mike Di Meglio and Swiss talent Dominique Aegerter produced again superb rides in Sunday's Grand Prix of Czech Republic at the Brno circuit.
Di Meglio was engaged in a thrilling battle for positions in the lead group throughout the race, making decisive moves towards the end and taking a strong second place finish.
Di Meglio's lead in the World Championship increased to 44 points with today's Czech second place. Aegerter holds 18th position in the Championship points table.
Mike Di Meglio after the race:
"I'm very happy with the result today, and the close racing we had. We took some very important points again, and I have to thank my team for finding a good set-up for us in the warm-up today."
Team Manager Aki Ajo:
"Today's second place feels almost like a victory. We worked hard for a good set-up this weekend, and found a good solution in the warm-up today.
And we got both our riders in the points today with Domi taking a good result with a great race, so one has to be quite happy."
